Privacy, in plain English.

• You can browse ToyTrendr without an account.
• We use Google Analytics on toytrendr.com to count visits. Google sets analytics cookies in your browser to do that, and you can opt out.
• If you make an account, we keep your email address and what you add to it (your collection, watchlist and alerts). You can download it or delete it.
• The only email ToyTrendr sends today is your sign-in code.

ToyTrendr uses Google Analytics 4, a service from Google LLC, to measure visits to the live site: which pages people open and how they get here. Google Analytics sets analytics cookies in your browser (such as _ga) and receives data about your visit so it can produce those counts.

The tag loads only on the live toytrendr.com site. It does not load on preview or test copies of the site, on the temporary “back soon” page, or in the admin tool.

• How Google uses data from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
• Google’s Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy
• To opt out, install Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

• Hosting. ToyTrendr is hosted on Vercel, so your requests to the site go through Vercel’s servers.
• Your Toy Box and last ZIP stay on your device. The on-device Toy Box (a watch list you can use without an account) and the last ZIP code you searched are saved in your browser’s own storage, not on our servers.
• Near me. Your ZIP is used only on ToyTrendr’s own server to pick a search center. It is not sent to any third party, and it is not saved unless you keep it on this device.
• Searches that find nothing. We keep the words of a search that returned no results, so we know which toys to add. We keep the words only: no account, session, IP address or location goes with them.
• Links to retailers. When you click a link to a retailer, ToyTrendr records the click on the way out: which toy and retailer, which spot on the site the link was in, the page it was on, the website that sent you, and a rough device type (phone, tablet, desktop). It does not record your IP address, your browser details or who you are. Your IP address is used briefly in the server’s memory to slow down a flood of repeat clicks, and is never stored.

• Sign-in. You sign in with your email address and a 6-digit code we email you. Your email address and sign-in are handled by Supabase, which also hosts our database. While you are signed in, a session cookie keeps you signed in.
• Your profile. A username, a display name, an optional photo and an optional short bio, plus a record that you confirmed you are 18 or older and when. Accounts are for adults. Profiles and collections are private until you choose otherwise. Photos are re-saved on our server, which removes camera and location details from the file.
• Your settings. Currency, time zone, an optional saved ZIP code and radius (never your exact location), and your email preferences. Alert and marketing emails are off unless you switch them on.
• What you add. Your collection and its history, your watchlist, your alerts and the notifications they create.
• Member features. If you use them, what you post is stored with your account: listings and their photos, offers, messages, trades, reviews, blocks and reports, and where you say you saw a toy.
• Interest counts. When you start watching a toy or add it to your collection, we record that as one signal of interest, at most once a day per toy, and use it to help work out what is trending. If you delete your account, those records stay as anonymous events.

Sign-in codes are sent through Resend, our outgoing email service, from no-reply@toytrendr.com. You will find alert and marketing email switches in your settings, but ToyTrendr is not sending alert emails yet. Alerts show up inside your account. If that changes, this page will say so.

Mail sent to ops@toytrendr.com is received through Cloudflare Email Routing, which also looks after the DNS for toytrendr.com.

• Download your data. When signed in, open Account, then Your data, and choose “Download my data” for a file of what we hold about your account.
• Delete your account. Same page. Your sign-in and email, username, photo, bio, settings, collection, watchlist, alerts and notifications are deleted. Open listings end, and your listing text, message text and review text are cleared. Where your account appears in history it shows as “Former member”. You cannot delete an account while a trade is under way.
